CERTIFICATIONS &
COMPLIANCE
Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians
Every PNW Axxess field technician holds current SPRAT certification — the recognized North American standard for rope access competency. SPRAT levels I, II, and III cover ascending, descending, rescue, and supervision of rope access operations. Certification is maintained through regular re-evaluation and continuing education.
Washington L&I & Oregon OSHA Compliant
PNW Axxess is fully registered and compliant with Washington State Labor & Industries and Oregon OSHA regulations. All operations are conducted in accordance with applicable state safety standards, ensuring your project carries no regulatory exposure.
Job Safety Analysis — Every Project, Every Time
Before any technician leaves the ground, a written Job Safety Analysis is completed, reviewed, and signed off. The JSA identifies site-specific hazards, defines anchor system requirements, establishes communication protocols, and documents the rescue plan. No exceptions.
Dual-Rope System & Full PPE Compliance
All rope access work is performed on a two-rope system — a working line and an independent safety line — in accordance with SPRAT standards. Technicians carry and inspect all PPE before every shift: harnesses, helmets, descenders, ascenders, and anchor hardware.

PROTOCOL
Pre-Mobilization Planning
Site assessment, anchor point identification, hazard mapping, and rescue plan development before any crew arrives on site.
JSA Sign-Off
Written Job Safety Analysis completed and signed by the lead technician and site supervisor before work begins each day.
Equipment Inspection
All ropes, harnesses, hardware, and anchor systems are visually inspected and logged before each use. Any item with doubt is removed from service.
Dual-Rope Deployment
Working line and independent safety line rigged and tested. No technician operates on a single rope system under any circumstance.
Rescue Plan Active
A documented rescue plan is in place and communicated to all crew before descent. Rescue capability is maintained on-site throughout the operation.
Post-Job Debrief
Every job closes with a debrief — what went well, what to improve, and any near-miss documentation. Continuous improvement is non-negotiable.
